Letter cushion

I found this cushion on pinterest. As I have made a letter as one of my 3D drawings I found this inspiring as I could create one of my cushions in a similar way.

3D drawings

For the first part of my new project I had to produce 3 paper 3D drawings. I created these using a range of medias including fine liner, watercolours, tea staining and felt tips. I think they look quite realistic and I am pleased with how they have turned out, I will be using these drawings to come up with designs for my 2 coordinating cushions that I will produce as the final product for this project.

Market Purchase

This morning I went to Hartlepool's outdoor market to see if I could find some inspiration. I found this box of vintage threads which I thought would be good to draw for my current project which is vintage themed. This box of threads was £2 which I thought was a bargain.

Text print

This chair has a really unusual and unique print. The chairs is covered in vintage advertisements which fits in well with the next part of my studio module.

Our buyer fell in love with Serbian artist Draga Obradovic's one-of-a-kind chairs at her studio in Como, Italy, where she reupholsters vintage frames in her signature coated-cotton canvas fabric. Layered with rich pigment then screenprinted and hand-distressed, each chair ends up with a durable, leather-like finish. This time, she covered our high-backed, round-seated Archibald in vintage advertisements.

French Rustic - Beautiful Homes

 

Flicking through some back copies of Beautiful Homes. This page attracted my attention 'French Rustic' a cream and duck egg blue colour scheme. I am really interested in interiors. The French themed cushion especially attracted my attention as it is inspiration for going into the second part of the module which I will make 2 cushions.
